Mike Lovatt, virtuoso trumpeter, recording artist, and musical director, worked with composer, arranger, and conductor Andrew Cottee to transcribe the original twelve musical arrangements of Billy May’s iconic 1958 album, Big Fat Brass. In 2021 Mike asked his great friend the Trinity Laban alum, multi instrumentalist, composer and arranger Colin Skinner to come up with a new repertoire of arrangements. On Friday 26 November 2021, Mike Lovatt and the Trinity Laban Brass Ensemble performed the entire Big Fat Brass album along with the new arrangements conducted by Colin Skinner.
